Our home away from home

I thought some of you might be interested in seeing what we’ve purchased (sight unseen!) in the UK to be our transport and our accomodation for 7 months starting in mid-Jun 2012….our 2004 Adria Coral 650SP Motorhome.

I’ve edited some of the blurb below but it’s basically what was written on the website where we found our motorhome, almost by chance when searching the Internet a few months ago. Since then we’ve had excellent service from Graham and Linda at Select First Motorhomes (www.motorhomes-buy-sell-rent.com) in Kent and we can’t wait to get there to take possession of our “home”.

A superb example of the popular and well-built Adria Coral low profile 4 berth motorhome, built on the Fiat Ducato 2.8 JTD maxi chassis with 5 speed gearbox and left hand drive. This is an excellent European tourer with the ever popular fixed rear bed, bathroom/toilet and separate shower (gas water heating). The well-appointed central kitchen has a large fridge freezer, wine rack, grill, hob and microwave, as well as plenty of cupboards and drawers. The front lounge dinette features a short settee, with a half dinette opposite and swivelling cab seats – this area will make up into a second double bed if required. The forward facing ‘pilot’ seats have three point seat belts and driving is enhanced with electric windows, central locking and heated electric mirrors. The motorhome is equipped with a radio/CD Player, a large sunroof, and roof mounted air conditioning which, through an inverter, can be used whilst travelling. There’s also a bike rack, a wind out awning with end enclosures and a TV aerial.

  1. Great idea – dementia might not be too far away Andrew. Take a couple of big kiwi decals over for the truck – you might get a few invites to a meal somewhere. Cruising UK in a motorhome is a fabulous idea ! May the Lord bless you and keep you safe – may you be a blessing to the UK too.Love to ER if you see her.
